About
Looking Glass of the Heart is a multimedia story about three young English girls and their life experiences, explored through written word, art, music, and audio dramas. It's a story primarily about coming-of-age, the meaning of friendship and love, and the celebration of beauty found in the simple things in life.
Looking Glass began production in late 2013 as a 34-track concept album titled In Wonderland…, which was later revisited and expanded with the launch of the Looking Glass project in the summer of 2016, building off of the world and characters that the initial album presented.
Story, Music, & Production - Joshua Taipale
Joshua Taipale is a freelance composer, producer, and music theorist. Years of listening to and studying video game and anime music cultivated an interest in telling stories through sound. Shortly after producing In Wonderland... as a concept album, he couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to do more with it, and set out to create Looking Glass of the Heart.
Outside of his own projects, Joshua remixes video game music as a part of GameGrooves and teaches music theory on his YouTube channel Ongaku Concept.
Character Design & Scenario Artwork - Ezro
Ezro is a freelance illustrator from Thailand. She designed the characters for Looking Glass and created artwork for the soundtrack. Her beautiful paintings brought the girls to life with an authenticity that perfectly captured their personalities. VA - Isabelle Amponin (Mary Ann Bennet)
Isabelle Amponin is a voice actress, singer, and cosplayer located in Chicago, Illinois. She has lent her voice to many projects within the video game community, particularly as Lucina from Fire Emblem: Awakening, Palutena and Viridi from Kid Icarus: Uprising, and Fi and Linkle from the Zelda series. Isabelle’s voice can often be heard in productions under Zelda Universe.
Isabelle is thrilled to be voicing Mary Ann Bennet for Looking Glass. She hopes everyone would come to love Looking Glass and its “cinnamon roll” as much as she has.
VA - Nicki Jensen (Alice McCrae)
Nicki Jensen is a voice actress from California. You may have heard her in a few Zelda Universe fan dubs on YouTube. She has voiced several characters for these dubs, including Agitha, Proxi, and Twili Midna in Hyrule Warriors. She recently landed the role of Midna in Zelda Universe’s production of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Nicki has been in quite a number of voiceover projects, having had the pleasure of voicing iconic characters in other fan dubs such as Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Harley Quinn from Batman: Assault on Arkham, Tracer from Overwatch, Twilight Sparkle from MLP Friendship is Magic, and Corrin from Fire Emblem: Fates.
Nicki attends Cabrillo College, and is studying to earn a degree in theater arts. From there, her plans stretch towards Los Angeles, and hopefully a future voice-acting career.
Nicki is ecstatic to be a part of this wonderful story. For her, voicing Alice is possibly one of the most fun characters she’s ever had the pleasure of bringing to life.

VA - Heidi Tabing (Elli Eldridge)
Heidi Tabing is a voice-over artist located in northern California. She also writes young adult fantasy under the pen name Adelle Yeung. When she’s not writing or recording, she enjoys sewing costumes, baking sweets, and escaping on video game adventures.
She voices Elli Eldridge for Looking Glass.
Project Advisor - Aaron Morris
Aaron is a story writer and artist from Illinois. He spends most of his free time working on his own project, Oblivion Soul, but what time isn't spent there is used in his primary, albeit simple hobby: playing video games. He contributes to the project by offering advice and suggestions for Looking Glass.
